Traipsing down Washington Avenue, I decided to get a quick look at the AIGA: A–Z poster exhibit installed at the Tractorworks Building in the North Loop.
I love old peely, dated signage; especially for old restaurants, gas stations, and small towns. While driving back from the North Shore, I cruised thru Moose Lake, MN [on the prowl for thrift shops, of course] and found this gem. Totally groovy, entirely inspirational.
Hoppin' the tap rooms of N.E. one Summer night, I found myself at the newly minted Bauhaus Brew Labs. An impressive space, raw warehouse vibe finished with clean / cohesive interior elements and smart graphics + design. After swilling a Wonderstuff [Neü Bohemian Pilsner] I took a beer-break to enjoy a locally brewed soda pop from Whistler Classic Soda, a tasty treat with a light + sweet flavor.
Cutesy, vintage-inspired aesthetic with a classic approach; simple ingredients + returnable bottles [thought I was tempted to squirrel it away in my mini-backpack].
