Art Direction + Project Management
House of Memories
Designed for people experiencing memory loss, House of Memories (HoM) is a dementia awareness program which offers training, access to resources, and museum-based activities to enable caregivers to provide person-centered care for people to live well with dementia. In partnership with National Museums Liverpool, The Minnesota Historical Society (MNHS) adapted the House of Memories Toolkit & other assets for an American audience, with activities centered around exhibits and offerings at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul, MN.
As lead designer on this initiative, I worked directly with our friends across the pond to give the HoM materials some Minnesota flair. Collaborating with colleagues at MNHS, I created the House of Memories Activity Cards deck—a fun and interactive stack of prompts and activities designed to spark memory and meaningful conversation with caregivers and their loved ones.
Seeing this project unfold from wild idea, to sketch, to final documentation, there was joy and learning in every step of the way.
