Minnesota Family Planning Program
Case Study + Marketing Strategy
The Minnesota Family Planning Program (MFPP) provides free family planning and pregnancy prevention services including yearly exams, STI screenings and birth control at Family Tree Clinic and other participating clinics around the state.
As a MFPP Case Manager at Family Tree Clinic, I collaborated closely with a fellow volunteer to gather data and develop a strategy to increase long-term MFPP enrollments. Long-term coverage ensures higher quality care for the patient, as well as stability and longevity for the state-implemented program overall. After evaluating the data and existing follow-up procedure, the following pilot goal was determined.
PILOT GOAL:
Implement a new patient follow-up protocol with supporting materials to increase longterm MFPP enrollments.
The shortfall hypothesis included a mix of internal and external limitations, which informed the improvement strategy and action plan.
